There is a lot of local controversy about what will happen to the Royalist North Parade, surely one of the most attractive streets in North Oxford, and far more interesting than stuff further north of Oxford – including the Roundhead South Parade. Got a problem with that? Check it out on Wikipedia.
A vast amount of wind and rain hit most of England today, causing some structural damage. But the locals in North Parade, cognisant of the danger, called in local firetrucks to save the Rose & Crown pub sign from oblivion – or worse, falling on a customer's head. A local florist first noticed the sign was in danger, and alerted the management of the Rose and Crown.
