India score 278 on day two

Tendulkar not out at 70

HAMILTON (AFP): India scored 278 runs, and lost four wickets, one run behind New Zealand's first innings 279 at stumps on the second day of the first cricket Test match today.

Sachin Tendulkar was not out at 70, while Gautam Gambhir made 72 and Rahul Dravid 66.

For New Zealand, Chris Martin took two wickets for 53.
